I used 13mm plate steel (I went really overkill on that) and made my own front engine mount bracket for my swap. It was by far the easier route than cutting my frame rail and splicing in a section with the newer mount. There were a few reasons why I kept with the old design and made the bracket.. it looks cleaner, easier for me with how I have some things switched around, and my motor mount that attaches to the bracket will never fail so I saw no reason to swap it out.

Why cut and weld in a new section when a guy offers the right mount on v6z24...

Because the old style front motor mount is a fucking joke. 2.2s destroy them. Even filled with 94a poly, it's still a piece of wobbly crap.

I've had great luck with my mount and the bracket I made. The mount is over 3 years old and hasn't started to do the wobbly wobble yet.
