16 gauge is less than a 1/16" do you have any idea what a 1/16" looks like? because whats in that pic is way more than 1/16" thick... But I'll leave that to Barry to verify.

I think it's 12 gauge. Still less than a 1/8". Keep in mind this will not be supporting much vertical load once these tower are done. It is only responsible for front and back and side to side of the subframe. Once the shock towers are boxed to the stock towers the angles members you see will only be extra reinforcement.

Let my girl worry about my member thickness haha

Pads to get more surface area

Towers almost done, just need a tiny more fab and some paint.

This means the rear end is nearly complete. I ordered a walboro inline 255lph pump, and have a fuel cell picked out just need to buy it. After fuel cell the rear is done and I'm gonna get started on the front end.

I have been using stuff I had laying around for free. Steel box is something I would pick up at a steel yard but I only can get there one day a week and have been too busy. This stuff is already over strong for what it is

Gotta love using free stuff for projects. Makes life a lot easier. And if it breaks, who cares since it was free. With the pics I'd just like to see how it mounts to the trans and to the body if that's possible.
Am I still in line for your exhaust or has someone else gotten it?

Thats just wrong man, if it breaks, I'm sure he would care, the car might be a total loss. I'd hate to invest all that time to just have the car trashed because of free material. Looking good so far, hope to see it get sideways soon. I will be right behind you.

It will not break. These towers are so serious. But yeah these parts need to be able to handle serious beating. I get air a lot on the track.

All parts are still avail.

Meant that if "something breaks" could mean the differance of you driving the car off or getting it towed off. No one here wants it to break, but you would care if it did, just because the material was "free" doesn't make it ok.
