Dont assume what you see is complete. Trans mount will not always be like that.

The engine is shifter .125" to the right. You didn't see that with your eye. What you did see is how gay the beretta engine bay is made with non symmetrical frame rails. Plus the steering being to the left probably adds to the illusion. But I assure you from shock tower to crankshaft to shock tower is +/- 1/8".

I'd say it's the guy that joined here to talk to you, forget his name.
No comment on my post?
Oh it's keoki1978. He may have a link on a GA site.
I could post it on the Ecotec site, not much going on there. Not sure they would be into it though.

Yes actually, pretty much exactly that. Along with another one right behind the oil pan between the subframes

Facepalm, thought mine was the last on the page. Never did think about having one on the back. It just looked needed on the front.

Yeah I am also going to brace from the motor mounts to the frame rails. Our subframes are not as strong as they look. Also building a loop over top of the trans, attatching the trans mount to the rest of the car. Will also brace the firewall likely at the subframe mounting points. With those braces it will also make tunnel fab easier since I can break it into 2 or 3 parts.

Nice plan! Barry I grew up on full frame cars. Unibody cars were somewhat rare at the time and still had a stout build. Beretta subframes scare me. When I got my 90GT that was the end of car jumping for me. Did a good amount in a 77 Impala. Not that I ever jumped my 83 Camaro. Or did I? If I did it was a low jump, unlike the sky high ones in the Impala. Stupid kid.
Grew up watching the Duke Boys so that didn't help.

Not bad Barry, yeah I joined to ask questions really. I am a member of gaowners.com but havent really posted anything on there in a very long time. Last post there was when I mounted my 17x9 Rota DPT's with a +42mm offset and put pics up to show it. Came out flush and looks great. I got those old Mantapart/Bilstein coilovers on my 95 gagt, no issues at all with clearance. Anyway, link it to 60degreeV6, got lots of guys there, I am a memeber there also. Cant think of anything else. And yeah, I still plan to do mine now that I see it in your car. Our cars are damn near the same thing, different body.

Yeah, but it will be fun playing around in it after it is.
Either its cause you dont have the "heads on" or the motor is really that narrow. Theres tons of room to do some headers to a big turbo in there now. Looking good.

Sorry, didnt mean the heads, meant the exhaust and intake manifolds.

Maybe its the angle of the pic, but I'm looking at the centering of the motor in the subframes... It doesn't look centered at all the way that photo was taken.

Must be the pic. It's 1/8" to the driver side. I may or may not slot the motor mount holes to fix it.

May have to correct you a bit here. If you read the users viewing part carefully, you will see that it says users browsing this forum. Not this thread. Basically it means how many users are in that section, and in your case this is under General->General Discussion. So it always looks like its busier, but it really isn't. Those people could be viewing any thread in this section, not just yours. I used to think the same way.

I always see a lot of people viewing when under the General or Off Topic forums. BTW, you may want to have this thread moved to the correct section under Member's Rides. LOL This thread is anything but General Discussion! :D

Of course, I forgot you are a mod. Maybe you see info on thread activity that I may not see. Correct me if I'm wrong.
