stormtrooped beretta...anyone seen one?
Re: stormtrooped beretta...anyone seen one?
Haha if that's the look your going for just get 16" steelies. There cheaper and you can sell the Indy wheels to make some cash.
Black wheels with no contrast look like crap!

I think it looks great!
Re: stormtrooped beretta...anyone seen one?
Needs clear side markers.... lol
Oh yeah, I can build you a set of LED clears for 150 bucks. Price includes the markers, the LEDs, my time and shipping.
I will even dress them in white to match, they will practically blend in.

Now it really looks like you just spray bombed your wheels... An accented lip, or inserts would have set those off and made them look like you invested time, this just looks like you wanted them covered with something.
Re: stormtrooped beretta...anyone seen one?
Not bad but,I agree , needs some white or silver accent on there to give it some contrast... but at the end of the day - its your car !

i think it's more along the lines of you took a decent set of wheels and made them look like run of the mill steel wheels.themadness wrote:is it the "stormtrooper" look in general that you dont like or just my car?3X00-Modified wrote:Now it really looks like you just spray bombed your wheels... at least reverting back to the natural look won't be hard since it's not paint.

I guess its the "stormtrooper" look that I don't care for, the rims are lost in the tires.
If you paint the angled area's that are normally painted on a Indy wheel white then you would have gained contrast and if you left the lip just brushed aluminum that would have also added contrast, it would have made the rims pop so much more than that.

well if at some point i wanted the aluminum lip i could peel the dip off very easy to reveal it. thats no biggie.i prefer to have them blacked out though. storm troopers didnt have any aluminum on their uniforms3X00-Modified wrote:I guess its the "stormtrooper" look that I don't care for, the rims are lost in the tires.

I think the terms are sad to begin with and no I don't like that look either.
Re: stormtrooped beretta...anyone seen one?
This car is NOT murdered out. It's white for God's sake!
I like the way the wheels came out for sure, but I also still believe that you need a highlight of some kind. I too was thinking that you could literally cut the plasti-dip off of the highlighted areas and then you would have a grey highlight. Although my initial opinion still stands, I think they would look better with a polished lip of some sort. I mean, look at my car
I also think you should go with clear side markers. But that's just me and my style. You rock it son, you rock it. Do what you want as it is your car, we're simply providing opinions.

you can thank rob dyrdek for that idea as i watch too much tv!
i actually have been thinking about those markers since Ace mentioned it. that will be down the road though. next project is windows, tires, maybe lowering, and the back seat ace has if i can ever stop moving to get to it. i'm going to australia for training for the next week and a half, leaving on sunday. i might not get anything finished before i leave.

Re: stormtrooped beretta...anyone seen one?
haha its funny to see some of the same people still spouting the same crap. if he likes the way it looks let him be, i personally dont mind fully black wheels and polished/body color inserts/lip are played out and overdone. let him do what he wants, theyre stock wheels anyway. if he wants something with a polished lip these wheels will get him by till he can afford some new wheels and those will make fine winter beaters without losing the black on white look by swapping wheels.
