Looking at buying a beretta
Looking at buying a beretta
I am fairly new to the site and was in the market for a beretta. I was wondering if there were a few problem areas the beretta had besides the dash issue. What are some things i should for?
Thanks

Look for rust in the rocker area in front by the door jambs and under the car. Look for rust around the rear spring perches and the unibody frame rail in between them. And check to see if the front floors are wet under the floormats due to the firewall leak. If it's a 3100 V6 car, find out if the intake gaskets have ever been serviced. If it's a 2.3 quad 4, find out if the head gasket and timing components have ever been changed on it. Both of these would apply IMO if the car has over 100k miles. I could go on, but that's a good place to start.
'94 Quad 4 H.O. 5 speed Z26, Red & Rare! 1 of 896 Quad Z26's and of those it's 1 of 167 red paint/gray interior!

Same as posted by scd88ga(I'm a slow typer so he got it in first) Oh and check the trunk for rust on the inside too. Take a close look at where the rack mounts to the firewall also.
Most every other problem can be fixed. The normal things like control arm bushings, ball joints, etc.
One last thing: cars that have ABS gas tanks will crack and leak, finding a replacement sucks. For sure the 90's have it and I think the 91's also. The exhaust is not the same as on the cars with metal tanks, so if you are going to swap to a metal tank you must change the exhaust.
