I'd have to say the Z51 external rear sway bars are VERY rare! The only came on 1988 Z51 equipped GT's and all 88 GTU's and came on the rare 1992 W26 GT's. The hollow external rear sway bars came on 88 GT's without the Z51 package. The hollow bars were not open on the end from the factory, they had black plastic caps on the ends. The hollow bars are also a smaller diameter by 2mm I believe. It's late and I'm just going off the top of my head... ;) As you all know, I'm at the yards every week and in 3 years time, I have only came across 1 88 GT that was a non Z51 with the hollow bar. I have yet to see a GTU or W26 GT in any of the 4 yards I frequent.
