GTZ Rim 1 or 2

Post by daguse5853z »

I need one gtz rim to make a set but I might be interested in 2 rims. I don't want any bent rims, or curb rash. Color or condition of paint not important, just the rim is physically in good shape. I'm gonna need a lot of pictures or it didn't happen. I don't want tires and I'm not paying to have the tires removed. I'm looking to spend about 50-60 shipped per rim. Cash in hand.

I have 8 gtz rims... I need to look over them again and see if they are good enough. I'll get some pics of the 4 that don't have tires this weekend hopefully.

One set is red, but they've been sitting on my red car for quite a while... I think they were in pretty decent shape...

If you bring donut spares I'll part with them, but without a set something to put on my red car to move it around I can't give them up yet.

that picture btw brings back a real funny memory, you cant see in the pic but the car is on a hill, behind it is the ally but the ally is slightly higher then the dirt ground, we just finished putting the rear eibachs on(fronts were already done), i went to back out and the muffler hit the road and got squashed like a soda can under your foot, it was a rather funny memory and i felt the need to share. =)

LOL Yeah I do... I haven't been home long enough to pull them down. I'll make an effort to do it tonight.

These are the ones on the 95, not rash free...

Wait, I did pull them down...

I though I had pics... and I remember PMing them to you. I found the PM from feb 13th...

Black rim inner lip break

Outer ding on other black rim, Blemishes are not on the same one unfortunately both have something.

Gold ones I do believe have no issues to the lip at all... just need to be cleaned polished and painted.

the lips are the hardest part to repair on rims, they have to be welded(a bead ran accross them), then they have to be machined down the the right thickness again and filled before paint or in some cases filled after paint, either way, its a pita, but i'll think about them and let you know.

Bring it to a wheel shop... Most are about $100 a wheel to bring back to 100% oem look... not a bad price to have it be right and original looking.

not at all, i used to work for a wheel shop, this i know, but its cheaper to start with a better set, the reason im looking for a spare set is because im having my origanals redone and i want to have 6 redone, all 8 if its possible to match the car when its repainted red again, this way i can keep 2 slicks on 2 wheels, and never really have to have the tires changed, or if i manage to get 8 done, i can have 2 completely different set of tires. 1 for track, one for driving to shows ect, only takes like 20 minutes to swap out 8 wheels.
