88 GTU 5 speed

i am looking at an 88 GTU with 140k. it is a v6 with a 5 speed. car is solid. what do you guys suggest the most i pay for it.

All depends on how bad you want it. Is there rust? Does it need tires? Maintenance records? Nasty interior? I think about everything when making a decision. I wouldn't pay more than $1800- $2000 with that mileage unless everything else with the car is really good but that's just me!

jamaicanbob made a good point check everything you can. if there no real bad rust spots and everything is in good working order then no more then 2k for it.

if you plan on keeping it more then 5 or so yrs, its a good investment that will be worth a few bucks later down the road when our cars are worth a little bit of something, lol.....

car is red and i have not seen the interior. he is asking 1800 obo i think i might be able to get it for 1200. i am going to look at it on saturday with with 1500 cash and try to work something something out. no rust car was not driven in winters. i will keep it arond for many years to come. later down the road it will be completly redone.

thanks! i live near kent state university north of akron. i am sure that i will be a proud owner of my first GTU and 4th beretta. i also own a 67 plymouth gtx i am restoring. i will have pics of the GTU this weekend if all goes well.

67 plymouth gtx 440

i had a teal base that blew a head gascket got rid of it, 91 white gt which had almost 300k robbed the power steering pump out of it for another 94 teal base beretta. had to sell car after 2 DUIs and 2 DUSs that was about 4 years ago. got work privelages untill i pay my reinstatement fee of $3100. here i am just waiting till this weekend to own my next beretta.
