88 beretta

ok so i have an 88 beretta base model the previous owner switched it to a 2.2 tbi from a 91(i think) n my buddies keep betting me that the car will never b fast. naturally they bet me so im gonna try and c what i can get out of my little 2.2 so i was just wondering if anyone has any ideas of where to start im planning on switching it to mpfi this summer for start but where to go from there idk. time is not an issue but im not gonna spend 10 grande on the project im a full time mechanic (but never got really completely involved with performance) so yea any ideas would be greatly appreciated.


P.S. i just wanna piss them off lol and i just think it would b fun to c what i can achieve

MPFI swap and turbo build. That is all I'd ever suggest for making power with a lil ole 2.2. It's interesting that someone once swapped it from a v6 to a 2.2, kind of funny and sad at the same time.
