Black 1988 Z51 5 speed GT with GTU kit

Post by Mr. Beefy »

Well time has come to be TOTALLY out of Beretta's. After the hit and run on the Saturn my wife doesnt feel safe driving it because she almost got side-swiped on the highway today. I am going to end up getting her another car.

And before everyone chims in with the comments........ My wife and her well being is WAY more important than keeping ANY car she doesnt feel safe driving anymore! Keep that in mind before you comment.....

So... here it is....

1988 Beretta GT Z51.
2.8L, 5 speed
I am the second owner of the car.
Manufacture date 2/1987.
Black Metallic, grey interior.
As it sits right now in my driveway it has 79,643 original miles

Interior

-Grey
-VERY good condition
-Door panels are almost mint
-Visors need to be refinished
-Drivers seat support(the mesh under it) broke so the center of the bottom is sunk in. Not really that bad to deal with and can be fixed very easily.
-Dash has the common vent lift but that's all
-Everything work on the interior

Exterior

-Black Metallic
-GTU lip and GTU rears (I have the sides and hangers just not painted and on the car)
-Painted the rims black
-Replaced the rear marker's with yellow ones
-Solid grille cut to fit properly so you can use either a solid or eggcrate( I will give you the eggcrate grille too)
-Has beauty covers for the firewall
-Rockers have some rust on the bottom but is NOT bubbling, other than that NO rust.
-Missing 1 Z51 center cap
-Has a crack in the windshield
-Only damage is on the drivers side door and the drivers side fender(looks like the door caught the fender)
-Clear coat peeling on the roof and door handles(was going to take them off and paint them but I'm not putting any more time and money in this car)
-Old owner spraypainted some body panels. I was in the middle of doing a wetsanding and polishing to get rid of it. Doors were almost completed, they just need another compounding, but there are other spots that need to be cleaned up, which you might be able to get easily with some mineral spirits.

Drivetrain

-2.8L 5 speed
-Runs well
-Shifts well
-Replaced
- CTS
- Plugs/wires
- Denso O2 sensor
-Newer radiator(replaced before I bought the car
-AC DOES work, however there is a leak from the O rings at teh compressor so it only holds a charge for like 3-4 days
-STILL get a code 45(O2 rich)
-Needs the rear motor mount which I have and will give you
-When you turn to the right for the first mile or so the steering sometimes feels like there is no PS. The belt is making noise so it might just be a belt slipping. Havent checked into it
-Shakes a little above 70

I'm sure there's stuff that I'm missing here or info someone wants. Any questions let me know.....

Asking $900 for a fast sale. That price you get ALL the spare parts I have for a Beretta, and if you want I have a damn near complete 3.1MPFI(missing UIM, fuel rail, injectors and oil filter adapter) you can take with the stand too. If it doesnt sell here QUICK it WILL go on craigslist and be sold there. I am also going to be selling the Saturn and buying another car for my wife. I need this sold NOW!
