OVERHEATING PROBLEM! HELP NEEDED ASAP!!
well for starters if my car sits in park for to long it gets hot fast. when i drive it for a long period some where it get really hot as well can any one help me? is it a broken head or what im just looking for some help THANKS ALOT

Could be just a stuck Tsat. I'd try that first.

I hate to ask, but are you sure you have enough coolant in there. You could try to burp the system by taking off the cap when it's warm(not hot). I'm thinking there may be some air in the system.
Is there anything coming out the exhaust? Just checking.

Yes, nice and slow. If there is air in the system it will make a chugging sound. It's best to drive it first and then let it cool down until the cap is just warm.

That didn't work? The Tstat must open before you do it. Pull the radiator cap off when it's cold and be sure that it's full. Also be sure that overflow tank has enough coolant in it. The system will draw some in to replace what has been lost(after it has got up to temp and the radiator is full). When you replace the radiatior there is a big loss in coolant, you may think that it's full but it's not. You must keep checking it to be sure it's full. Once your sure the radiaitor is full you must add coolant to overflow tank to get it up to the full mark(I can't remember if it's full hot or full cold for your year). Which ever it is make sure that it is up to that level and keep an eye on it after you drive it. Add as needed.

Let me ask you this.... Does your fan kick on at all? Should kick on at about half temp on the gauge. Another way to see if it works is to turn on the A/C. This should kick it on IMMEDIATELY if your A/C pressure switch is any good. Let us know.

you should replace you thermostat and your waterpump might not be doing its job try that

It was already stated that the thermostat was replaced. Water pumps usually are belt driven (as is the case here), so unless it starts to leak I'd look towards something else as root.
Could be something easy as a system flush, or something wrong with your trans... Alot of things to look at.
If your fan is on all the time and the engine is still burning up, then something is really wrong and the car shouldn't be driven until it's fixed, or it is taken to a shop.
When was the last time your coolant system was flushed and refilled with new coolant? What about trans fluid? - Start with the basics.
