how to Hotwire 88 Beretta?

Post by Guest »

My beretta has been sitting in my driveway for 2 months and I wasnt worried about it until today. My wife's car blew a headgasket this morning. My beretta runs fine but it needs a new ignition, someone jammed a screwdriver in the keyhole and locked it up. Any suggestions on how to get this car running again would be great b/c I can't afford to fix it anytime soon. Thanks!

goto the junkyard and find another beretta with keys and an ignition switch w/ keys (CHEAP) the only thing special tools wise you will need will be a wheel puller (or Big Hammer but will cause damage) and a torx set.

Or you could spark wires to start it everyday but I don't recommend that since the column might be still locked and you might not be able to get it out of park.

Look here for a wiring schematic :

Good luck.

How much is a new key cylinder for this car, $20?

I had to drill the pin out in a 1994 cougar... what a PITA...
