New guy from Upstate NY

Post by dhpanic »

Whats up everyone, I've been a big fan of this forum since I've found it, you guys seem to love this car just as much as I do. I remember the first time I rode in one back when I was a kid, and since then I've been hooked. My first car was a 94 Z26 with the 3.1, and because I was young, it was pretty much beat up constantly, but it never let me down. I had the car from summer '07 until march '10, when a guy in a Cadillac blew through a yield sign and t-boned me at 50. After that, I was driving a 99 Mercury Cougar V6, but it just wasn't a beretta. Im going this weekend to pick up my next Z26, and this one is going to have everything done right. I just want to thank everyone on here for sharing what they know about this car and keeping it alive.

Yeah my door was pressed up against the steering wheel and it wasn't fun to slide sideways through a one way sign. Luckily I walked away with only a piece of glass above my left eye. The glass is still in me actually, I guess I've literally got some beretta in me.

Wow.

Good to see another local-ish member. You should come to the northeast meet in Sept.

I keep that picture as the background on my computer just to remind me how lucky I am. All my friends are import guys, and tell me "why would you want a beretta, they're garbage and if you get hit you're gonna die" then I show them that picture and they all shut up. Lets see your civic take that beating and you walk away fine.

Yeah, that Burrito definitely took the hit for you and saved your bacon! Too bad about her. Glad you're good to go. Look forward to seeing you in another Beretta! They ARE an addiction. Hell , most of us here have pretty new cars or trucks, but yet we just can't seem to shake the Beretta thang! :D

Welcome to the site. :D
