strange warning light issues
strange warning light issues
I don't know how to start this, because the issue happens at random times, but the seatbelt light comes on. hmm... not solidly. It like gets bright then dim.. then off... driving down to Baltimore just now it would stay on, but real dim(even w/my seatbelt buckled). I would unbuckle(the bright red warning indicator would come on), then rebuckle and it would go out... but start doing the same thing. The strange part is that even after I park and then turn OFF the engine, the light is doing the same thing. It eventually stops though. I also noticed the BRAKE warning light come on for about half a second when I was goin up 95 at about 85 into a turn. That happened only once, but the seatbelt light is often.. and ridiculous. Any ideas? thanks guys

On the brake, is the fluid full? On the seatbelt my guess is a short or a bad sensor.

I would say no. Replace the fuse and see if that helps. The buckle may be dirty inside, but I don't know how to clean it out. There is a connector at the bottom of the buckle it may be dirty also(use dielectrical grease on it when it is clean, the same stuff that you should use on the spark plug wires). Make sure you don't put too much on and make bridge from one pin to another(use a very small flat blade screwdriver). To clean the pins use a Q-tip and rubbing alcohol.
