From what he said over on Bstuff he was hoping that he was going to have it together and on the ground by the end of the week. With the progress that he's making I dont doubt that. Awesome work Weba. I would LOVE to make my corsi a 5 speed but I dont see that happening.

Looks like postal service is taking long on the control arm bushings, so those will move to next week timetable i guess, unless they show up tomorrow.

Anyhow, i'm now decided that i'm not going to Ever buy any automatic car again, there's so much trouble swapping in the 5spd, also most likely not going to buy any more Berettas, if they are not in 100% showroom stock condition, garage kept and so, i H-A-T-E rust. ÂÂÂ

And this car looked it also had really minor rust, everything i found after buying it was professionally fixed, and now i found out that firewall is doomed.. Oh well, next time i have to take the carpet out before buying a car.

Only real way to totally fix parts like this firewall, is replace it completely, witch means taking the car to the frame, and then another car to the frame for donor part, since i bet you can't get new ones. I can slow the rusting down, but since it already is between those layers of metal, it's going to go out someday.

I was hoping for 10 years of more life to this car, lets see that.

if you like fun manual cars and are done with beretta's i suggest the 94 and newer 300zx with leather The luxury of one of these damn things can never be found in a beretta and the haul @$$ my non turbo 5 speed put's down a very low 15's high 14's run STOCK like really stock paper element filters and all season tires to boot and if you go twin turbo (winter project ). 800- 1000hp is not out of reach

Strut bearings do not look that healthy.

I had to order new ones.

FAIL
This is what i got from brand new unopened box from Energy, 7 bushings were correct and then there was that one.  :bang:

So my other control arm is now missing a bushing.

I guess i have to use this one from my parts car before i get the missing bushing.

All done (for now)

Just to share a picture of the modified engine mount in action.

And i noticed i can spin other side tire by just pushing the pedal down 'too fast' on atleast 2 first gears even when rolling...
And im using basically brand new high performance quality tires..
I guess that's what i get from using different length axles unlike Getrags..

My black & white cars on this graph.

Only things undone on the car is the missing bushing, and whatever is causing the ABS light,  i have to get it scanned somewhere.

First tank of gas burned with manual transmission.

I went from 14.7MPG (before the project) to 21MPG with Isuzu

And that first tank includes couple top speed runs, lots of acceleration and having fun.
So i need couple more fill ups before i can say the true difference.

And the car definitely feels like whole different car now, everything feels more balanced, nose-heaviness is gone, car feels controlled instead of nervous. And is way more faster than it ever was with 3T40, engine responds lot better both ways and even sounds better cause it pics up RPM faster. ÂÂÂ
How ever, first gear with this setup is just too short, i need to get this thing rev higher before it comes usefull. Also i'v noticed that passenger side tire loves to spin. Using V6 Getrag would be the best way to go.
This works tho, and already made the car so much more enjoyable than it was originally. One thing is sure, i'm not going to ever buy automatic transmission car again, driving instead of being passenger is just so much more fun ÂÂÂ

supposedly the part number 62.309.150 has been discontinued unless a group purchase of 30 or more units is made.  There are however some listed for Isuzu models ( like the impulse) that should be the same one.
