Holy crap your dump hangs low!

Had my suspension been installed when I put the rear header on I would have noticed it could come up higher... but I wasnt about to remove it again once everything was all together! haha It doesnt hang any lower than my cut out though. I should get a measurement of how much lower it is than the subframe. It's really not too bad.

Hence why the bottom of my dump is flat from rubbing stuff...

I need to twist it, but I also need to remake/redistribute my exhaust parts to the proper pipes... I have the cutout on the pipe that has the full cat on it... Its not the most logical setup to use when you want it to run clean... and then I have my dumpless pipe has a hollow cat on it... it, really should be reversed and just be a dump section with no cat and maybe a "resonator" type item, and then my straight pipe should be just a full cat so I can run it clean and moderately quite when driving around town.

Hopefully this will get done this winter when the rest of the items get picked off the list.

These are the same headers that John has, installed in a car. You can see the collector needs to come up or be angled some to clear the sway bar.:

My stainless downpipe touches the sway bar when the car is in the air as well, but driving it doesn't until I go WOT. It has about 1/2" or so of clearance. So .75" or more would be ideal so people didn't have to get solid mounts.

They look pretty good.

The thermostat housing is alot more exposed than with the S&S design.

Still don't think you'll be able to get it off though.

Eric those are S&S headers. He's using them to get the jig set up for fabbing his own from scratch.

How much would it be to get mine cleaned up and coated with the same ceramic? Maybe I'll do that this winter while the car is sitting. And do you have a color that would be close to the gray color in my sig?

Way too much gray Eric, way too much...

I'm going to actually coat my rear header this winter and possibly re-coat the front one while I'm at it.

Yeah those are S&S headers. It looks like you might actually be able to get the thermostat neck off. I know you take off the bolts and then you can slide it up, but you have to angle it out a little so the thermostat comes out of the housing. I've replaced mine a few times without even loosening up the heatsheilds but it's tight.

Another thing I noticed... I need to get my crossover to line up that nice :) since my set was done in the car, and out in a tent,(the welding was done in the basement) I didnt get as nice of an alignment as I wanted... This winter I'll be able to put it on a block on a stand and fix it right.

Ah, what do you know. Your car is pink! :P

Anything would look better than the chipped, bubbling ceramic coating on mine now.

I think im gonna take the cheap way out and wrap mine.
I would do what Jon did, but I have no easy way to blast them, or bake them.

I'm not sure about the wrap idea.

That is basically for race cars that don't see winter and alot of moisture.

The wrap needs moisture to adere and will seperate if it gets wet again.

If ceramic coating is not a possibilty then sand, heat primer and lots of THIN coats of header paint.

no need to bake... just spray on and then bake on the car... the exhaust heat bakes the ceramic coating on there. I have yet to do my rear header, I'll also be spraying that this winter.
