cheap led 3rd brake light conversion

OK so I'm working on this and it would prolly be cheap if you got parts from a jy. Its the 3rd brake light from a 02 Chevrolet venture. You just have to get the led strip and both sides of the harness for it. And cut the light socket from the factory light on the Beretta And replace it with the harness.







This is as far as I got I rigged it up to make sure it works. but I need a new lens so I'm not going to install it till I have one. Then ill make some updates.

On a side note anyone got a brake light cover they wanna sell? Lol

Only suggestion I will make. Make it waterproof. Or it will be junk very quickly. The LED's are not weather resistant. And yes water can get in from beneath/behind, so the lights need to be sealed inside the lens. I know, I have built several 3rd brake lights, and I only charge 45 bucks shipped.

Here is a pretty cheap way to make a LED brake light for GTU spoiler. I made a tray out of sheet metal, Bought some suitable RED led strips from advance, then covered them in clear silicon. I still utilized the GTU brake light lense since it wasn't warped too bad. Spliced the wires in parallel and then utilized the factory plug so I could plug in into my factory harness. Now don't get me wrong, you can't see the individual led's like in caddy tails or anything but it lights up faster then regular bulbs if you're savvy to that.
