thread repair kits work pretty well. my dad has a ford with the 5.4 in it they are pron to having plugs fly out, he put a tread kit in it and worked great till 6 months later another blew out, then 6 months after he done a tune up and found another plug with a heli coil in it already so he just bought a whole new engine with 60,000 k and hasnt drove the truck more then 1,000 km in the past 3 years lol.

make sure you put lots and lots and even lots of grease on the tap before treading the hole that will keep 95% of the fillings that get cut out to stick to the tap when you pull it back out instead of going into the cylinder, and maybe even blow some air in there with a compressor and blow the crap out.

Wow, you guys need some Fukidol's man. Chill..... I personally found the image of a Midnight "my own tire just passed me" incident pretty amusing myself! :D crap happens , especially with Beretta's. It's not like he dropped a pound of C4 in it and walked away!

Yeah, my bad for ripping on you so hard man. Now that you've further explained yourself, it doesn't seem quite as bad. Just be careful, and don't destroy your car. It just initially sounded like you were proud of yourself for beating and breaking a car.

Haha now that's more like it....yeah trust me I'm doing all I can to get that car going, but for now I'm working out the kinks and clearly if the wheel flies off that is a major kink haha but seriously I love these cars to death and if something crazy happens to mine or my buddies Beretta and nobody got hurt I always find it easier to fix the stuff while laughing about it rather than crying about it.

Off topic...that looks like fun Jon!!! Now that i have had the opportunity to tear down and rebuild a couple of transmissions (a Ford 4R70W and a Chrysler A406), i'm looking forward to tearing into and rebuilding my 125C/3T40 and seeing the condition of it after 252k miles even though i have no intention of putting it back in.
